Flexible UV (blacklight) LED strip

Beautiful UV LED strip that provides the same effect as blacklight. Since the light is purely UV, this LED strip will make fluorescent objects glow. Think of a white t-shirt or white paper, but it can also be a certain type of stone, specific paint, and much more. We offer UV LED strips in different wavelengths. If you choose the 400 nanometer wavelength, you get a nice subtle purple/violet light that is just within the visible spectrum. Aside from the blacklight effect, this can bring a very special type of light to your interior or, for example, a bar or restaurant. We also have the 370nm wavelength, which is invisible to the eye but still provides the fluorescent effect. Use this wavelength if you want to create truly "invisible" blacklight.
UV LED strips can also be used for specific specialized applications, from disinfection (medical) to industrial, and UV light can be used in photography or curing certain chemicals. Safety warning: If you are using UV LED strips with a shorter wavelength (370nm or lower), where the radiation is invisible to the eye, you must be careful where you place them. People should not look directly into the LEDs: Although there is no visible light emitted, there is actually a lot of UV radiation being emitted which is harmful to the eyes!

How to order and connect

Flexible LED Stripsold per 50cm. The LED Strip is delivered in one piece up to 5 meters. Example: If you put 3x 50cm of LED strip in your shopping cart, you will receive one 1.5 meter LED Strip. However, if you put 16x 50cm of LED Strip in your shopping cart, it is delivered as 1x5m and 1x3m. Etc.
You can solder multiple lengths together to create one long LED Strip.

Choose your voltage (optional): We can supply this LED strip in 12 Volts (default) or 24 Volts. See "voltage" above.

Flexible LED-strip with adhesive for easy mounting. This strip is very easy to install. You can cut the strip every 5 cm (12V) / 10 cm (24V) to create any size you need. Moreover, this LED-strip is extremely flexible and very narrow corners can be made with it. The power is supplied through the soldering points which can be found on the strip every 5 cm (12V) / 10 cm (24V).

Applications: UV LED Strip has many specialized applications, such as in medical devices. However, it can also be used as blacklight and as a fluorescent led strip.
The standard wavelength of our UV LED strip is 400nm. We can supply UV LED strip in other wavelengths too. If you need a specific wavelength, please contact us for more information.

This LED Strip works on 12 Volts / 24 Volts, so to connect it to a 110-230V power outlet you will need a power supply. Please see the category Accessories -> Power Supplies for this. The more LED strip you want to connect, the higher the power consumption will be and therefore the bigger the power supply must be. Look below for an indication of which power supply to use with this LED strip:

10cm - 80cm: Power Supply 12 Watt
80cm - 2.5 meters: Power Supply 36 Watt
2.5 meters - 4 meters: Power Supply 60 Watt
4 meters - 5.5 meters: Power Supply 84 Watt
5.5 meters - 8 meters: Power Supply 120 Watt
8 meters - 16 meters: Power supply 200 Watt
16 meters - 27 meters: Power Supply 400 Watt
More than 27 meters: Use multiple power supplies or contact us for advice and price.
Note: If you want to connect more than 20 meters to a power supply, make sure that there is a direct connection to the power supply at least every 20 meters, to avoid loss of current in the LED Strip.

This LED Strip can be dimmed in combination with an LED Dimmer.

Remark: Delivered with a connector which can be plugged into the power supply. This connector needs to be soldered onto the LED strip. If you do not know how to solder: no problem, we can do this for you.
