What are UV LED strips?

UV LEDs have a wavelength of 365 to 405 nanometers (nm). The wavelength determines the specific color or light frequency of the LEDs.

These wavelengths make the light almost invisible to the human eye. However, they create a beautiful blacklight effect, causing fluorescent objects to glow.

The light from a UV strip has a purple or violet color, giving it a special appearance.

UV LED strip: wavelength 365 to 375 nm and 395 to 405 nm

On this page, you will find two types of UV LED strips: one with a wavelength of 365-375 nm and one with a wavelength of 395 to 405 nm.

The strip with the wavelength of 365 to 375 nm emits almost invisible UV light. The light causes objects to fluoresce without a visible purple glow. It is therefore ideal for professional applications, such as forensic research, document verification, and curing polymers.

The strip with a wavelength of 395-405 nm creates visible purple and violet light, producing a stunning blacklight effect.

This light also makes objects fluoresce, but it also adds to the atmospheric ambiance. These strips are more commonly used in clubs and lounges, as accent lighting for artwork and gemstones. Additionally, the lighting is ideal for commercial presentations.

LEDs for clubs and lounges

The purple and violet lighting creates a unique appearance that fits perfectly in atmospheric settings like clubs and lounges.

Since the light makes fluorescent objects glow, decorations, white clothing, and special effects stand out, creating a lively atmosphere.

Blacklight effect

The blacklight effect of the UV LED strips also makes the lighting suitable for various other situations where emphasis needs to be placed on something.

The lighting is ideal for museums, where paintings and artwork need to be illuminated. Or for the presentation of cosmetics and nail polish, as the blacklight creates an attractive appearance.

The UV strips are also commonly used to illuminate gemstones and minerals, as the structures of these stones become more visible. This creates an impressive effect.

Furthermore, our strips are used in bars, restaurants, wellness centers, and for commercial presentations of items like jewelry. Since the 395-405 nm strip is also available as a waterproof version, it is also ideal for garden use. The purple and violet light provides unique and atmospheric garden lighting.

Technical and medical applications

UV LED strips from 365 to 405 nanometers (nm) are not only used for atmospheric lighting but also for technical and medical applications:

Curing polymers and resins

Strips from 365 to 395 nm are ideal for curing polymers and resins. The lighting is used to quickly and effectively cure liquid materials such as resins, glues, and coatings. It is therefore used in electronics, 3D printers, and dentistry.

Quality controls

Strips with a wavelength of 365 to 395 nm are also ideal for quality control in the automotive, aerospace, and manufacturing industries. The light helps detect surface deviations such as cracks. Additionally, it can be used, in combination with fluorescent substances, to find leaks in pipes and engines.

Forensic and laboratory research

Wavelengths from 365 to 375 nm are ideal for forensic research, where biological material is made visible. The light also helps check security features in money and passports.

UV light is also used in various types of laboratory research, such as molecular biology and medical diagnostics. This includes DNA sequencing and cell studies.

Loose UV LED strips or complete sets

We sell our UV strips separately, but also as complete sets.

When you purchase the stand-alone UV strip, you will receive only a strip with connection wires. You can then select a suitable power supply and controller yourself.

It is also possible to purchase a complete UV set. This set includes everything you need to use the strip immediately. You will receive a strip with a power supply and controller selected by us. This set has been compiled by our LED specialist, ensuring that everything fits perfectly together.
