Note: Without a controller, you cannot change the color of an (e.g.) RGBW LED strip or control it. For an RGBW LED strip, you almost always need an RGBW controller. You will also need a power adapter.
Which Controller Should I Choose?
There are roughly two ways to control the strip: with a regular remote control or with a smart home system.
Regular Remote Control:
Choose a controller suitable for a regular remote control. This includes many Miboxer controllers, as well as other controllers that display a remote control in their product image.
Smart Home System:
If you want to use a smart home system and control the strip via your phone or tablet, you need a Zigbee controller. An example is the Miboxer FUT037Z+. This controller is compatible with all smart lighting systems like Philips Hue, Ikea Tradfri, etc.
