Multi-channel LED Strips

LED strips in multiple colors are strips equipped with LEDs that have more than one fixed color. This allows you, for example, to adjust the color using a remote control. They can be strips with two white tones, allowing you to dim between them (such as cool white and warm white), or multicolor LED strips like RGB, RGBW, or RGB-CCT, where red, green, blue, and optionally warm white and/or white are present. By mixing red, green, and blue, you can create every color of the rainbow, and you can also set white or warm white light if desired. The more channels an LED strip has, the more freedom you have in choosing between colored or white light.

Dual White
Dual white LED strips have 2 channels and are equipped with both white and warm white LEDs, so you can adjust the color temperature. The color temperature (expressed in K, or Kelvin) indicates how warm or cool the white light is. The lower the value, the warmer the light. For example, 2700K is warm white and 6000K is cool white. If you want lighting where you can control the white tone – for instance, to set a cozy warm white for relaxation or a bright, cool white for working or studying – then this strip is perfect for you. Dual white LED strips are always dimmable. It is recommended to order a remote control with a dual white LED strip, as it is needed to adjust the white tone and dim the light.

Dim to warm
This type of strip is similar to "dual white" but works slightly differently. Like dual white, a dim-to-warm LED strip also includes warm white and cool white LEDs; however, it has only 1 channel. The strip controls the color temperature itself and literally dims to warm white. As you dim the strip, it emits more and more warm white light, and at the lowest dim setting, it gives only warm white light. The way this LED strip dims simulates a halogen lamp, which also becomes warmer as you dim it. This type of strip is very convenient if you use traditional wall dimmers or rotary knobs – simply connect it to a dimmable power supply and adjust the brightness and warmth as needed.

RGB
RGB says it all: these are LED strips with the colors R, G, and B. This strip has 3 channels. By mixing red, green, and blue, you can produce every color of the rainbow—such as yellow, purple, or orange. To set the color, you need a remote control or you must connect it to your smart lighting system via a suitable controller.

RGBW
The next step is RGBW: these strips include the colors R, G, and B, with the addition of (warm) white. If you use only the R, G, and B colors, it is not possible to achieve naturally looking white light—it often appears a bit cold and "fake." With an RGBW LED strip, this problem is solved by a dedicated channel for warm white. Using the appropriate controller and/or remote, you can choose from all the RGB colors as well as warm white, and of course, dim the light.

RGB-CCT
Finally, there is "RGB-CCT"—a 5-channel LED strip that features R, G, and B, as well as both warm white and white. This means you can select an RGB color and a white tone of your choice. You have access to every color of the rainbow, but if you get tired of all those colors, you can choose exactly the white tone you prefer—from a cozy warm white to a functional neutral or cool white.

Pixel / Digital LED Strip
A digital or "pixel" LED strip is a type of LED strip in which each LED can be controlled individually (or sometimes in groups of 3 or 6 LEDs). This allows you to create beautiful, advanced light effects such as rainbows or chasing lights. There are also special controllers available that you can program yourself, providing virtually endless possibilities with a pixel LED strip. Alternative names for this type of LED strip include addressable LED strip, Magic LED strip, or Dream (Color) LED strip.
